Moritz Wehr

Moritz Wehr, also known as Mowr, is a young artist based in Austria. Curious yet introverted, he is constantly trying to embrace the world and making the best out of every situation. Moritz loves to experiment with colors, light through his work and limitates always the image to a few objects, trying to focus on a few important things, leaving out unnecessary detail.
One of the reasons why I like this artist is because it's really simple and to the point. The artists says that his goal is to make people feel something when they see his art, and I when I see his work, I do; Through these simple pictures, they bring emotion and memories into people's minds.

Artist Blog: Chen Yingjie (Hua Tunan)

Chen Yingjie, also known as Hua Tunan, is a Chinese street artist. Living in the coastal city of Foshan, his unique street art style comes from his training in classical Chinese and illustration. He often explores new ways to combine Western graffiti styles with traditional Chinese methods and elements including ink painting, drum rhythms and a variety of cultural symbols. I like this artist because of the rhythm of his paint; it's like paint bouncing from drums but onto paper. The splatters of paint makes the subject seem alive and sharp with attitude. The strokes of his paint reveals a certain attitude within each of his pieces (very cool).

Research Artist. Ivan Alifan

http://www.ivanalifan.com/

Ivan Alifan is a Russian aritist who attended OCAD University in Toronto and is the son of talented Russian painter Anna Razumovskaya.
I find his paintings interesting because the way he's able to distinguish the subject from the back ground though the color seems similar. With a mix of white and pink, the goo that covers the subject  shows the different composition and lighting of the face. The way he's able to emphasize the right shades and parts of the face is really neat and refined. Same goes for his earlier paintings (the lighting, shading, composition).
